Tim Holtz / Sizzix lanterns

A while back I finally got my hands on the lantern die by Tim Holtz and Sizzix. And boy the first one was fiddly. But once I figured it out, I couldn't stop making them. I made four sofar and there will be more to come, the list of ideas is growing and growing...

This is the first one I made. Just simple white card stock, Painted with copper paint and heat embossed with verdigris embossing powder. The windows are vellum.
And when it is alight.

This is one made from gold morror card that I sanded lightly. My husband suggested a crack in one of the windows, so I stamped that on the vellum.

and with a battery operated tea light in it..

This is a shabby chic inspired lantern.

Another side of the shabby one...

And one more....

The final and first side again. the big roses were made using the tattered pinecone die by Tim Holtz.

I just had to make a koi themed lantern as well! I just love these koi and cherry blossom stamps by my friend Nicole Wright Designs. They are available at Emerald Creek Craft.

And those are the lanterns I have made so far. There will be more to come :-)

Thank you for stepping by and hopefully until next time.

Take care,

Freddie
