Long overdue

Dear bloggers,

I know I know, it has been a while. Battling flue and pneumonia takes a lot of time and to be honest I was in no mood to craft.

But that is all behind us now and spring is in the air. And my inspiration is back as well.

So without further adieu here some projects I have been working on in the last couple of days.

This is a birthday card I made for a first birthday of a cousin.

This card I made for my mom, well, she ordered this one for a friend who is moving.
Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2013 inspired me to make this one. As you can see the perfect pearl is ready for action.....

Here you see the sheen of the pearl powder.

And the finished product.

I got in the mood for a retro style tag.
This tag I made for my aunt who loves the beach, it was her birthday last month.
Sometimes I look at a stamp set and just have to create something. This is the result.
You can see the shiny heat embossed details I stamped.

Well that was it for now. I am sorry that not all pictures are larger. I yet have to figure out why I can enlarge some and not all of them.....

I learn as I go along.

Until nest time!

Take care,

Frederique

dispite snow...spring on my mind...

Dear bloggers,

I know, I know it has been a while......(turning red with shame) but I have been busy doing various things and to be honest I have been waiting for my new stamps from Tim Holtz to arrive......

I am happy to say that the first batch has found its way to my little craft room.

And to celebrate that fact I made a birthday tag with several of the new blue print stamps designed for Tim Holtz by Mario Rossi the Third. Am over the moon with this range.....
Can't wait for the rest to arrive in April.

I just love this stamp of the cupcake. Especially as I developed a bit of a hobby baking them myself.... I coloured it in with a water brush and distress ink. The sentiment is also from the new range which in my opinion was long overdue. I love sentiments and I love it even more the way Tim designed this set.

I stamped the cupcake twice. Once on the tag and once on white card stock. I cut out and coloured in the one on the white card stock and stuck it on the tag using 3D foam to give it some dimension. I love how the colours of the background turned out. So festive and happy.

This is just a simple tag I made as I used the tag itself to mop up the excess ink on my craft sheet..... I like the watercolour effect so much... The cattails I stamped with distress ink and brushed over some brown perfect pearls powder. Then sprayed with a mini mister to make the ink bleed. A black bird and a blue corner finished it off. A sentiment ticket to give it some power and I was done.

I am currently working on a scrapbook for a 70th birthday and I will post it as soon as it is done. In the mean time I will try and post some other projects.

Take care and see you soon.

an Altered box

Dear interestee,

I decided to broaden my horizon and took a stab at altering a card board box. It is a packaging from little cheese wedges and I thought it was a great project to try out.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you will visit again.

Tag with Santa ATC

Merry Christmas everyone,

I hope you had some nice days. I did. Nice and quiet and lots of Chritmas spirited films....
Anyway.... I want to share another Christmas project. No I am not done just yet..

I made a tag with an ATC on it. It is more of a classic card.

The tag I embossed using a brass old fashioned embossing plate, the cuttlebug and a silicone embossing mat. It turned out quite nice and subtle. I then inked the tag with Distress innk and an ink blending tool. The edges I inked with Walnit stain distress ink to give it a distressed look. On the berries of the holly I stuck self adhesive pearls to give it some dimension. I glued a nice broad satin ribbon around the tag. Then I made my ATC.

It is stamped in a white card stock ATC in coffee brown Stãzon ink. I then heat embossed the various areas and added a sentiment. All the edges were distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink and an ink blending tool. It was glued on the card and ready to send.

Until next time,

Frederique
