Today I am sharing my project I made for the Crafts Dreamy Challenge Blog.
Every month we make something inspired by a mood bord. This month it was this one:
I immediately had an idea in my head. So this is what I made:
This is how I started out. I stamped the coffee cup, a Tim Holtz Blue Print stamp, and heatembossed it with Mercury Rising embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies . Then I stamped the crackle over the whole tag and also embossed this with Mercury Rising. After that cools you just start colouring. Cell by cell to create that faux stained glass look.
I coloured the cup first and then the background. I made sure to use various colours to get the right effect.
I stamped the sentiment on the crinkle ribbon and them coloured the edges with distress markers to make it tie in more with the colours of the tag. I stamped the same sentiment on some card stock and heat embossed it with Just Java embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft supplies. This is amazing powder that smells like coffee! Not only when heated, but also when cooled down. So the tag has a whiff of coffee!
And here it is again, the finished faux stained glass tag that smells like coffee!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will give the challenge a try!
Take care and keep your craft on!
